Surveyor / CAD Tech. - Land Development

​

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Approximately 30-50% Field and 50-70% Office time.

  • Operation of GPS, Robotic Total Station and Data Collectors.

  • Operation of drones for aerial mapping.

  • Research property plans and deeds for boundary and topographical surveys.

  • Research PaDOT Plans and right-of-ways.

  • Upload and download data collectors.

  • Input deeds, plans and survey data into Civil 3D cad program to prepare base maps.

  • Prepare construction stakeout data for site improvements.

  • Prepare basic subdivision plans.

  • Prepare detailed individual lot grading plans for new homes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with land surveying, GPS, Total Stations and data collectors.

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D related to surveying and base map preparation.

  • Drone pilots license a plus.

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying.

  • P.L.S. or S.I.T.

  • Pa Drivers License with clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks as expected on a survey crew.

Land Development Engineer or Landscape Architect

​

R.J. Fisher & Associates, Inc. (RJF&A) is looking for civil engineers and Landscape Architects with experience in land development and subdivision to add to our team. In this design position, you will collaborate with other members of our team and complete all aspects of the technical design on a wide range of land development projects in an exciting, fast-paced environment. We value the ability to learn quickly, along with strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare conceptual land development plans.

  • Research municipal ordinances and permitting requirements.

  • Conduct presentations at municipal meetings

  • Attend client meetings.

  • Prepare project proposals and budgets.

  • Prepare detailed site grading plans.

  • Prepare street and utility plans and profiles.

  • Prepare erosion and sedimentation control plans, reports and calculations.

  • Prepare stormwater NPDES plans, reports and calculations.

  • Provide consistent communication in a professional manner with team members and clients.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with the land development design and approval process.

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS software and site grading.

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture.

  • R.L.A., P.E. or E.I.T.

  • Pa Driver License with a clean driving record.

Director of Surveying

 

R.J. Fisher & Associates, Inc. (RJF&A) is looking for a professional land surveyor with experience in land development and subdivision to add to our team. In this Survey Management position, you will collaborate with other members of our team and complete all aspects of surveying on a wide range of land development projects in an exciting, fast-paced environment. We value the ability to learn quickly, along with strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordination all surveying assignments and schedules.

  • Provide supervision and oversee all surveying projects.

  • Conduct site visits as necessary and provide back-up for field staff as necessary.

  • Research deeds and plans required to complete the survey.

  • Input plans, deeds and survey data into CAD and resolve boundary locations.

  • Attend client meetings.

  • Project proposals and budgets.

  • Prepare site base maps and grading plans.

  • Street and utility plans and profiles.

  • Erosion and sedimentation control plans, reports and calculations.

  • Stormwater NPDES plans, reports and calculations.

  • Provide consistent communication in a professional manner with team members and clients.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with surveying for land development design.

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, software and site grading.

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  • S.I.T. required or P.L.S. preferred.

  • Pa Drivers License with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as expected on a survey crew.
