ENGINEER WINS PBA HOUSING ADVOCATE AWARD
SCRANTON, Pa. – Robert J. Fisher of Mechanicsburg was awarded the Pennsylvania Builder Association’s Housing Advocate Award during the association’s board meeting at the Hilton on Saturday.
Fisher, P.L.S., P.E., is president of R. J. Fisher and Associates Inc., an engineering, planning and surveying firm located in New Cumberland. Fisher was recognized for his significant contributions to the housing industry that have benefited the entire commonwealth.
He has shown commitment at both the state and local levels of the association in various leadership capacities. For PBA, Fisher has served as chairman of the Chesapeake Bay Tributary Strategy and TMDL task force to help lead the association’s efforts to defend the housing industry against the negative effects of new state and federal regulations.
At the local level, Fisher has served as a long-time member of the board of directors for the Home Builders Association of Metro Harrisburg, where he is also chairman of the State and Local Government Affairs Committee. He also was awarded the Associate of the Year Award in 2008 & 2009. PBA is proud to recognize his service.
